Our policy
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of this website and the provision of services by PRT Property Services Ltd. (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing this website or instructing us to provide services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About us
PRT Property Services Ltd. provides independent property surveys, energy performance certificates (EPCs), floorplans, inventories, SAP and related compliance services. We work with homeowners, buyers, landlords, property professionals and commercial clients across the East Midlands.
2. Use of this website
The information on this website is provided for general guidance only. It does not constitute professional advice and should not be relied upon without specific instruction and written confirmation from us.
3. Services provided
All services are provided on a bespoke basis and are subject to the scope, assumptions, limitations and fees set out in a written quotation, proposal or report. No contract is formed until confirmed in writing.
4. Surveys and inspections
Surveys and inspections are non-invasive and based on visual inspection only, unless expressly stated otherwise. We do not lift floor coverings, move furniture, dismantle building elements or test concealed services.
Reports reflect the condition of the property at the time of inspection only. No guarantee is given that all defects will be identified or that conditions will not change in future.
5. EPCs, SAP and compliance services
EPCs, SAP calculations and compliance services are prepared in accordance with the regulations and conventions in force at the time of assessment. Outcomes may be affected by assumptions, access limitations or third-party information.
6. Accuracy of information
We rely on information provided by clients, occupants and third parties. We cannot accept responsibility for inaccuracies arising from incomplete or incorrect information supplied to us.
7. Fees and payment
Fees are as agreed in writing. Payment is due within the period stated on the invoice. We reserve the right to withhold reports or certification until payment is received.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fee paid for the relevant service. We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Intellectual property
All reports, drawings and written materials remain our intellectual property unless agreed otherwise. They are provided solely for the use of the named client and must not be relied upon by third parties.
10. Privacy and data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
11. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
